Project Scope: Designing and implementing a modern storage platform.

  • Designing a modern, petabyte-scale storage platform to consolidate end-of-service hardware and align scattered storage backends.
  • Designing a tailored and dedicated 200 TiB storage solution to meet the specific requirements of IBM i® systems.
  • Making key architectural decision to introduce FlashSystem9200 HyperSwap storage clusters, expanding the storage domain’s technical functionality and resilience.
  • Integrating iSCSI and Fibre Channel (FC) protocols

My Deliverables: Delivered a consolidated and upgraded shared storage environment with enhanced functionality, tailored IBM i® solutions, and cost savings of ~$20k per month
