Business Problem: Inefficient and outdated data center lease contracts spanning decades.

Project Scope: Migrating Headquarters Data Center within Helsinki's district - Suvilahti

  • Acting as Lead Architect for IBM Power® Systems, and Backup streams, overseeing the migration strategy for a project involving 20 racks of hardware.

  • Made a key architectural decision to downsize IBM Power® Systems hardware, reducing the required floor space by full rack.

  • Optimized the placement of Hardware Management Consoles (HMCs) and improved LPAR load distribution for enhanced efficiency.

My Deliverables: Reduced data center lease costs to 2026 from $28.6M to $28.2M (these project costs included)
