Business Problem: Secure and efficient VPN solution need for enabling internal communication between two cross-country branches.

Project Scope: Establishing a cross-country OpenVPN tunnel.

  • Deploying a dedicated server for OpenVPN termination to address the hardware limitations of the internet-facing device.

  • Configuring and tuning OpenVPN settings, including hash algorithms, to improve encryption efficiency and performance.

  • Implementing manual routing to ensure proper traffic flow, as the OpenVPN termination device was separate from the router.

  • Redirecting specific web traffic through the OpenVPN tunnel eg. advanced VPN configuration.

  • Fine-tuning network performance using tools like iPerf to optimize OpenVPN throughput and reduce latency.

My Deliverables: Delivering a secure and optimized OpenVPN tunnel, enabling seamless branch-to-branch communication.
