My Project Role:

DevOps Engineer

Business Problem: Secure and automated Kubernetes deployment on Azure AKS requried, incorporating best practices for SSL/TLS termination, secure certificate management, and streamlined CI/CD workflows.

Project Scope: Deploying a secure and scalable Azure AKS environment with integrated Azure Key Vault, NGINX Ingress Controller, SSL/TLS termination, and automation using Terraform, Helm, and Azure Pipelines.

  • Designing and implementing the Azure AKS architecture with seamless integration to Azure Key Vault for secure certificate management.

  • Implementing NGINX Ingress Controller for SSL/TLS termination, with certificates injected as Kubernetes Secrets via the CSI integration driver.

  • Configuring an Application Load Balancer (ALB) in front of the NGINX Ingress Controller to enhance scalability and reliability.

  • Automating infrastructure deployment using Terraform and Helm, ensuring consistency and repeatability.

  • Building and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure Pipelines to streamline deployment workflows.

My Deliverables: Delivered a secure and automated Azure AKS environment with a reusable Azure Pipeline, scalable ingress, and robust certificate management for efficient Kubernetes deployments.
