My Project Role:

Business Problem: Scattered LPARs spread across an unnecessarily big number of aged IBM Power® hardware systems.

Project Scope: Consolidating IBM Power® hardware to optimize resource usage, reduce infrastructure footprint, and improve cost efficiency across the platform.

  • Designing a comprehensive consolidation strategy to unify ~100 LPARs across fewer IBM Power® 8 systems.
  • Assessing hardware performance (6 boxes) and utilization metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and decommissioning aged systems.

My Deliverables: Achieved a 25% lower Service Rate through efficient hardware consolidation and the release of outdated IBM Power® systems, improving cost efficiency and operational performance.
